A Pair Of Leather Clogs (1888)

This was painted by Van Gogh while in Saint-Remy. This artwork came about as Van Gogh had increasingly started to once again concern himself with the trappings and attributes of peasant life.
Van Gogh had also previously encountered clogs in the work of the peasant painter Millet whom he had great respect for. This work also helped inspire him to make this beautiful painting.
